Learn how insects are used to solve crime, walk through a replica Stonehenge and see wearable technology as fashion at this year’s University of Queensland Open Day.
91色视频Vice-Chancellor Professor Deborah Terry said the University was set to welcome prospective students to the St Lucia campus on Sunday 7 August, showcasing all that 91色视频has to offer.
“91色视频Open Day is an opportunity for prospective students to take part in innovative activities, meet lecturers who are experts in their field and visit UQ’s world-class learning and research facilities,” Professor Terry said.
“We look forward to welcoming students from across the state, both onsite and online, and to demonstrate the many pathways available to study at UQ, regardless of geographical location or financial circumstances.”
This year, visitors can tour the 114-hectare St Lucia site, taking in the stunning sandstone Great Court as well as museums, libraries, laboratories, lecture halls and sporting facilities.
Prospective students will gain a valuable insight into life at a global top 50 university, with each faculty offering information sessions, lectures or hands-on activities.
For those unable to attend, lectures and a virtual campus will be available online so teenagers and their parents can participate from anywhere in the state.

“You can see how insect larvae helps in post-mortems after a homicide with forensic entomology,” Dr Ang said.
“Our zoologists will help to find nocturnal animals in a ‘night at the museum’ and explore creatures collected from the deep sea with our marine biologists.”

“Meeting lecturers and current 91色视频students can help you to make an informed decision about your future study,” he said.
Open Day also provides prospective students the chance to hear from industry experts about the skills needed to enter the workforce, with 91色视频graduates the most employable in Queensland.

The first on-campus 91色视频Open Day since 2019 will include COVID-safe measures, with mask wearing encouraged indoors and outside when physical distancing is not possible.
