Three University of Queensland projects have received more than $3.3 million through the scheme.

The funding will enable 91É«ÊÓƵresearchers to secure infrastructure for high-quality research, with a focus on international collaboration and cooperative initiatives with industry and other higher education providers.

91É«ÊÓƵLIEF recipients:

  •  will lead research to develop a molecular analysis platform to accelerate biological and molecular research in Australia and create new training and collaborative opportunities.
  • will lead research to develop an open-access cryogenic facility in the only deep-underground physics laboratory in the southern hemisphere to enable ultra-precise experiments by protecting them from noise. This will support advances in emerging quantum technologies and strengthen understanding of astrophysics.
  • will lead research to advance diagnostic imaging and establish a national network for advanced studies in chemistry, drug design, materials science, and environmental sciences.

The ARC will invest a total $28 million in funding for 35 research projects across Australia.
